NOTE: As part of the Amazon Alexa certification, it was required that the Alexa APP be capable of unlocking the paired Array Deadbolt. Therefore, please be advised that anyone having access to your Amazon account affiliated with your Echo/Alexa device will be able to remotely lock/unlock your deadbolt.
Below are step by step instruction for enabling the Alexa unlock by app/voice features in the Alexa app.
To enable the unlock by app feature:
- Log into the Alexa app.
- From the home screen click on the devices icon "
" in the bottom right corner of the screen. - Click on "Locks" at the top of the screen.
- Select the lock you want to enable the unlock feature for.
- Click on the "Settings" icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Click on the toggle button to the right of where it says "Unlock by app"
- Read the popup message and then click "OK".
- Enter your Amazon account password and click "SIGN IN"
To enable the unlock by voice feature:
- Log into the Alexa app.
- From the home screen click on the devices icon "" in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Click on "Locks" at the top of the screen.
- Select the lock you want to enable this feature for.
- Click on the "Settings" icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Click on the toggle button to the right of where it says "Unlock by voice"
- Read the popup message and then click "OK".
- Create a 4 digit confirmation code.
- Confirm your confirmation code by typing it again.
